Project Overview
In preparation for the grand launch of ResortWorld: Las Vegas, Digital Kitchen/SidLee was commissioned to create large-scale animation pieces for several unique display formats. These included a 10k screen wrap on a four-story building, a 36-story building façade, and a spherical screen. The animation, titled *Wanderlust*, was inspired by the global legacy of Genting's resorts and aimed to take viewers on an illustrative journey around the world.

The initial concept revolved around a journey through iconic biomes and locales worldwide. This concept evolved as the client expressed a desire to incorporate references to RWG locations in chronological order. The challenge was to develop a visual style that would be efficient to produce on a large scale within the project's timeline while still feeling expressive and distinct to captivate the viewer's attention and sense of wonder.
Deliverables
The project resulted in several versions of a three-minute-plus animation, including:

- A 10k high-definition render for the four-story building.
- A lower-resolution version optimized for the 36-story building.
- Vertical environment slices.
- A technically unique spherical video for a massive spherical screen.

Full Production Process
The project encompassed all stages of production, from initial research and visual concept development to the final execution of the animation. Despite meticulous planning, the team encountered unexpected challenges, such as the data transfer of render files, which took longer than the rendering process itself.

Rather than a formal revision process, the team employed an iterative collaboration approach. This process fostered a creative feedback loop, empowering and inspiring the client through ongoing exploration and refinement. This method ensured that the final product remained viable within the constraints of the timeline and budget.
