ENGAGE FREDERICTON: Promo
Client: Engage Fredericton
AGENCY: The Ginger Agency
Creative direction: Susana Rojas
Designer: Valentina Carrillo
I had so much fun working on this piece When I became aware of what Susana Rojas and Valentina Carrillo were cooking up creatively, I desperately needed to develop their design into motion.
The minimalistic nature of the look inspired me to be purposeful with every move to communicate the intentions of the piece and the client. The piece is all about communication about having a reciprocal and open channel of communication that drives community engagement. So I wanted a continuous feeling of interconnectivity without relying on aesthetic clichés.
I also had the opportunity to create the audio design which was extremely fun to do, where the pneumonic theme is "speaking" in different voices and tempos but always coming back together in a quirky whimsical way, almost with the cadence of a conversation.
This piece got me away from 3d realism (Though there is a lot of 3d in it) and back in touch with the raw essentials of motion design, using everything I've learned so far.
