I was approached by the incredible team at We Are Royale to take a moody and textural reference frame and develop it into a broad range of visuals that accurately represented the different themes of the Audible crime Drama "Fishpriest". I wanted to capture the feelings of violence and instability that the story evoked, so I began creating visuals such as a shattered nose (skull) and a weapon dented by blunt force trauma.
To further illustrate the themes, I decided to animate a sample of the frames to give the team a better sense of the story, and eventually, I ended up animating the entire piece (apart from the end title). I was given autonomy and minimal edits, and the result was a great success. It was an immensely enjoyable project to work on. As always I'm thankful to We Are Royale for their trust and collaborative spirit.
